Dame Elish awarded honorary degree from St Andrews

St Hugh’s Principal the Rt Hon Dame Elish Angiolini DBE QC has been awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree by the University of St Andrews.

Dame Elish was presented with the degree by Professor John Hudson FBA, who cited “her major contribution to legal matters in Scotland, public service, and higher education”.

She said she was thrilled to attend the graduation ceremony and told the graduates: “I wish you all great tranquillity and peace in life, as well as every success in your chosen career, because you are the future”.
