Home → Principal at Bookfeast Festival
On Wednesday 25th May, the College’s Principal attended the Bookfeast Schools Festival, which this year took place in the Gallery of the Pitt Rivers Museum. Next year the Principal will be delighted to welcome the festival to St Hugh’s College.
Bookfeast is a local Oxfordshire charity which promotes a love of reading with a view to nourishing minds and help to build communities. The Schools Festival takes place annually in May. It focuses on giving primary school children from across the county the chance to come and meet wonderful children’s authors, illustrators and poets such as Atinuke (pictured above with the Principal and children from Beckley Primary School).
The 2016 Schools Festival involved approximately 1,800 pupils from 22 primary schools across Oxfordshire. The Principal and St Hugh’s College look forward to welcoming the festival. The Schools Festival 2017 will be taking place in the College grounds in the Maplethorpe Building.
