Congratulations to Susana Carvahlo, Associate Professor, Fellow in Palaeoanthropology at St Hugh’s College, who has been elected as Vice President for Ethics, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion 2020-2024 at The International Primatological Society (IPS).
Susana said, “This is the first time the IPS has created a Vice President to cover these very important issues, so it is a huge honour, but also responsibility to have been elected!”.
Susana is a primatologist and archaeologist interested in the evolution of technological behaviour, specialising in wild chimpanzee tool use and in Pliocene archaeology. Susana is one of the founders of the field of primate archaeology.
