Constance Debré is a former lawyer and a contemporary French writer with an interest in life writing and questions of gender, sexuality, and social norms. She has published three novels, including the highly acclaimed Play Boy (Stock, 2016), Love Me Tender (Flammarion, 2020, Prix Les Inrockuptibles) and Nom (Flammarion, 2022). Ève Morisi is Associate Professor of French and Francophone Literature and Fellow in French at St Hugh’s. She works on the intersections of poetics, politics and ethics in modern and contemporary literature.
