St Hugh’s student Olayemi Anifowose-Eso granted prestigious Schwarzman Scholarship

St Hugh’s College offers its warmest congratulations to Olayemi Anifowose-Eso, who has been awarded a highly competitive Schwarzman Scholarship.

Students selected for the scholarship complete a one-year Masters course in Global Affairs at Tsinghua University, specialising in either Public Policy, Economics and Business, or International Studies. The Scholarship is “designed to prepare the next generation of global leaders”.

Just 200 scholars are chosen from around the world for their “leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, ability to anticipate and act on emerging trends and opportunities, exemplary character, and desire to understand other cultures, perspectives and positions.”

Olayemi is currently completing her degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.

Principal of St Hugh’s, Dame Elish Angiolini DBE QC FRSE, offered her “warmest congratulations for the outstanding achievement. Olayemi should be very proud of what she has accomplished; this is a wonderful and unique opportunity for her.”
