Winning entries for St Hugh’s Art and Photography Prizes announced

Congratulations to all the winners of this year’s St Hugh’s Art and Photography Prizes who are as follows:

Student Photography Prize:  Shared by Raghu Krishnan (Archaeology & Anthropology, 2024) and Vinzent Wesselmann (DPhil, Music)

Student Art Prize:  Fern Kruger-Paget (Human Sciences, 2022)

Staff Art Prize: Mary Helen Last, Accommodation Officer

Staff Photography Prize:  Anna Xiong, Librarian Assistant

The competition is open to all members of the College’s  student body and staff, and covers works of art (sculpture, painting, drawing, ceramics etc.) as well as photographs. One prize is awarded in the field of art, another in the field of photography, each to the value of £50.00.

Entries were evaluated by a small panel chaired by the Curator of Pictures, Professor Shelagh Vainker who said, ‘We were delighted to receive such a high standard of entries for the competition – congratulations to the winners on their outstanding pieces of artwork. I would like to thank all those that took the time to participate.’
